When we think of summer, it’s usually filled with beaches, bathing suits and pretty, flow-y dresses. However, summer looks a bit different this year. While we all do our best to #stayhome, and #staysafe, we are seeing a lot more Loungewear, Joggers and… for the first time, masks? (anyone else feel a bit like Handmaid’s Tale?)

All kidding aside, we wanted to compile some of our favorite fashion trends of this summer. Just because we are staying home, doesn’t mean we can’t look cute doing it.

One of my favorite things to do in a new city is to check out the vintage and thrift store scene so when I was wandering around the Roma Norte area in Mexico City, I was so stoked to find this place. If you’re a vintage clothing fan like me, you MUST stop here.

When April & May rolls around and the music festivals are underway, it's like the kickoff to warmer weather has officially begun.  That means the start of effortless chic beach/boho style and all the light cotton layers a gal could ask for.

Festival Season is here! The weather is warming and whether or not you have tickets to the festival, you can still enjoy these Springtime fashion. 

Summer calls for color.  And as a resident of foggy San Francisco, I admit that I tend to wear too much black. What can I say, sometimes I forget that it’s summer here! 

One of the classic summer trends that says so much about our heritage is the nautical summer stripe.  In summer, especially around the 4th of July, the perfect holiday outfit is the all American summer stripe.

So the good news is that technically it’s still summer for two more weeks. In California, we’re oh-so-lucky to have great weather year round. Up here in NorCal, it’s going to cool significantly in the coming weeks and I can’t lie, I’m pretty ready for fall. 

With a fresh perspective of neutral tones, sleek silhouettes and contemporary fabrics, modern minimalism continues to evolve. One of our favorite things about this trend is that you don’t have to spend a lot to get it.

Gone are the days of our mother’s fashion rules that everything must perfectly match. Trends of mixing prints, patterns and graphics is here and it is not going anywhere any time soon.
